Department Overview

About the Treasurer

The Treasurer is the custodian of all township monies, collector of delinquent taxes and other township funds, and the agent for disbursement of certain tax funds to local units of government and school districts. The majority of the Treasurer’s duties are mandated by state statute.

The Treasurer is responsible for safeguarding and investing monies within the guidelines set forth in the Treasurer Investment Policy.

Tax Information

July 1st Summer tax bills mailed due by September 14th without interest MCL 211.44

Treasurer office will be open from 9 am – 5 pm September 14th

November 1st Dog license sold until last day of February

December 1st Winter tax bill mailed due February 14th without penalty/interest

Treasurer office will be open at least one day between December 25 – December 31st from 9 am – 5 pm MCL 211.44

Last day in February is the last day to collect taxes and buy dog license
