About the Clerk

The Clerk is an elected position with a term of 4 years.

Statutory Duties include:

Official record keeper of all township records, Maintains general ledger, Records and maintains township meeting minutes, Keeps the township book of oaths, Responsible for special meeting notices, Maintains voter registration file for all registered voters in the township, Conducts Federal, State and local elections for the township, Prepares financial statements, Delivers tax certificates to supervisor and county clerk by September 30, Must appoint a deputy, Voting member of the township board, Member and Chair of township election commission. Other Duties Responsible for Accounts Payable, Processes payroll, Cemetery records, work on grants, FOIA, citizen inquiries.
